Abstract From the Canadian patent

Turbine engine with two sub-assemblies outlining between them an annular chamber housing a seal. The two sub-assemblies are assembled under axial stress by outlining an annular chamber (18) housing the seal (20) and a spacer ring (50) is inserted between the abutting surfaces of the two parts of the annular chamber.
