Abstract From the Canadian patent

A prosthetic acetabular cup inserter which includes an adjustable cup holder having a resilient ring which can expand to grasp the cup with which it is to be used by operation of an elongated flexible element characterised by means for tensioning said flexible cable to cause the resilient ring to expand.
