An apparatus attached to a lifting device on a transport vehicle for handling a container the apparatus comprising two arms. At least one arm comprises a first generally C-shaped latch member having a first opening sized to allow a passage of a latching projection therethrough. The at least one arm also comprises a second generally C-shaped latch member rotatably nested inside the first latch member.
