Abstract From the Canadian patent

The negative dihedral wing (10) for pulling a load includes a flexible canopy (12) defined between two lateral extremities (14A 14B) connected together, at the front by a leading edge (20) and at the back by a trailing edge (22). The canopy (12) presents a propulsive central range (16) between these two lateral extremities (14A 14B) bordered on each side by two flight control surfaces (18A 18B). The wing includes at least one load suspension organ (30A 30B) close to each of the lateral extremities (14A 14B) and auxiliary maintenance means (32) to flatten the propulsive central range (16) close to the leading edge (20) during flight. The trailing edge (22) of the wing is generally concave.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 28, 2005 and granted December 4, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 28, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
