The invention relates to a localized handling and holding process for a thin flexible panel especially of complex shape, specifically non-expandable consisting particularly in: - laminating one of the surfaces (1a) of the panel (p) without distortion against a three point support system (2) - apply on said surface (1a), in the support zone a plurality of suction cups (6), mobile in relation to a reference support (1) and lock in relation to said support (1) each suction cup (6) in holding position without localized distortion of the face (1a) of the panel (p). - The invention also relates to a device to create this process.
