Abstract From the Canadian patent

The flow conditioner (2) for fluid transportation pipes includes an essentially tubular main body (4) forming a support at least one flow rectifier (8) placed inside the main body (4) essentially perpendicular to the XX' axis of this body and a porous plate (10) placed inside the main body (4) behind and parallel to the flow rectifier (8). The elements (4 8, 10) of the conditioner are placed so that a substantial part of the fluid flows through the flow rectifier (8) and the porous plate (10) in the absence of blockage in the porous plate. A diversion circuit is planned to ensure continuous flow in case the porous plate should become blocked.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 9, 2005 and granted January 15, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 9, 2025.
  • Certificates of supplementary protection extend only drug patents, and it isn't classified as one.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
