Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a method for carrying out a speech dialogue between a speech dialogue system and a user for controlling at least one electronic device in particular in a vehicular environment which comprises the steps of interrupting the speech dialogue upon receipt of a predetermined pause com- mand at the SDS (18) and continuing the speech dialogue upon receipt of a predetermined continuation command by the SDS. In addition the invention relates to a speech dialogue system comprising means for interrupting the speech dialogue and means for continuing the interrupted speech dialogue.
