The invention concerns an MSM-type photodetector device for detecting an incident light and comprising superimposed on a support (1), reflecting means (2) forming a first mirror for a Fabry-Perot resonant cavity a non light-absorbing intermediate layer (3) an active layer (4) made of semiconductor material absorbing incident light and an electrode grating (5) for polarizing and collecting the detected signal. The electrode grating is arranged on the active layer and consists of parallel strips uniformly spaced by a period less than the wavelength of the incident light the electrode grating constituting a second mirror for the resonant cavity the optical properties of said second mirror …

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 24, 2003 and granted August 28, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 24, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 24, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
