Protection systems for electrical systems are described where the electrical , systems may include spot networks and/or grid networks. The various protection systems may be designed and used to detect and clear faults that may occur within the electrical systems. For example a pair of Rogowski coils may be , used to detect current along a conductors at their respective locations on the conductors, and to output corresponding signals to a multi-function differential relay having multiple voltage and current inputs.
