The invention relates to a storage case for at least one image sound or data , carrier, such as a CD or a DVD. The interior which accommodates at least one , image sound or data carrier, is surrounded by two base elements (1,2) which are connected to each other by means of a joint (9a 9b). The first base , element (1) holds the data carrier (13). The second base element (2) is a lid which seals the interior when the storage cassette is closed.
