Abstract From the Canadian patent

In a radio communication system containing A-DPCH (Associated - Dedicated Physical Channel) and HS-DPCCH (High Speed - Dedicated Physical Control Channel), it is possible to perform an appropriate outer loop transmission power control for the HS-DPCCH even during DTX (Discontinuous Transmission) of the A-DPCH. A transmission data monitoring section (12) monitors whether a bit string transmitted via the A-DPCH is present. A pseudo data creation section (14) creates a random series used for HS-DPCCH outer loop transmission power control during a DTX section having no bit string. An encoding section (16) CRC-encodes the random series created. A transmission radio section (22) …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 14, 2003. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 14, 2023.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 14, 2025.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
