Abstract From the Canadian patent

Methods and apparatus for fine adjustment of the position of the cutting tool (35) includes a CNC boring machine, a cutting tool (35) which is slidably coupled to the coupling member (45), and a slidable adjustment member (21). A frictional force resists sliding movement of the cutting tool (35). The frictional force is sufficient to retain the position of the cutting tool (35) during machining operations. Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 25, 2003. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 25, 2023.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 25, 2025.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
