Abstract From the Canadian patent

A GATA3 decoy whereby the production of Th2 cytokine can be specifically inhibited, a GATA3 mutant protein and medicinal compositions containing the same can be provided by inhibiting the binding of GATA3 to the low affinity GATA3-binding sequence occurring in a Th2 cytokine gene cluster and thus inhibiting the chromatin modeling which is necessary for the stable and sufficient expression of Th2 cytokine.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 24, 2003. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 24, 2023.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 24, 2025.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
