Abstract From the Canadian patent

A conductive resin molding for use in the separator of a fuel cell and its producing method in which lowering of production yield and increase of machining cost, which are the most important problems with the spread of fuel cell, can be suppressed. The conductive resin molding is characterized by containing 1-9 vol% of high boiling point oil against the entire resin composition. Alternatively, high density expandable graphite prepared to have a specific gravity of 1.8 or above is employed as a conductive compounding agent. Alternatively, the conductive resin molding can be molded by flash flow compression molding.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 18, 2002 and granted February 7, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 18, 2022.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 18, 2024.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
