Abstract From the Canadian patent

Systems and methods for enhancing electronic security (190) are provided. An electronic communication related to an application (120) is received and stored. One or more risk assessments are made with respect to the received communication thereby generating a risk profile associated with the communication. The risk profile is analyzed with respect to data (210) associated with previously received communications to determine if the received communication is anomalous. If the received communication is determined to be anomalous, an anomaly indicator signal is output.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 6, 2003 and granted May 22, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 6, 2023.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 6, 2025.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
