The invention relates to substituted piperidines of general formula (I) wherein R, R2 to R5, A, X, Z and n have the meaning defined in claim 1 to , their tautomers, their diastereomers their enantiomers, their mixtures and salts, especially their physiologically acceptable salts with inorganic or organic acids or bases. Said piperidines have valuable pharmacological properties, particularly CGRP-antagonistic properties. The invention also relates to medicaments containing said compounds to the use thereof and to a , method for the production of said compounds.
