Novel protease variants derived from the DNA sequences of naturally-occurring or recombinant non-human proteases are disclosed. The variant proteases in , general, are obtained by in vitro modification of a precursor DNA sequence encoding the naturally-occurring or recombinant protease to generate the substitution of a plurality of amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence of a precursor protease. Such variant proteases have properties which are different from those of the precursor protease such as altered wash , performance. The substituted amino acid residue equivalent to positions 7 23, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 47, 66, 69, 73 82, 85, 88, 90, 92, 93, 105, 113, 139, 148 149, 150, …

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 16, 2003 and granted December 17, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 16, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 16, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
