Disclosed is a method of preparing terminally functionalized telechelic polymers, using a cationic living polymer product or a terminal tert-chloride chain end of a, carbocationic quasiliving polymer product which comprises quenching the , polymer product with an N-substituted pyrrole to thereby functionalize the Nsubstituted, pyrrole at the terminal reactive polymer chain end(s). Also disclosed are the terminal, functionalized polyisobuyl N-substituted pyrrole compounds where the polyisobutyl, group is subsitituted at the 2 and 3 position of the N-substituted pyrrole.

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 14, 2004 and granted March 12, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 14, 2024.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 14, 2026.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
