Abstract From the Canadian patent

Method for optimising oil field production and specifically production patterns while taking into account the uncertainties inherent to any study of reserves. This methodology can be broken down into three sequential steps: -Step 1: Sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of the configuration of the tested production patterns (several well locations ) on the production of the oil reserve in comparison to uncertainties specific to the reserve itself (permeability force of the water table, ) - Step 2: Quantification study of the risks associated to the planned configurations to determine if it is necessary to look for an optimal production pattern. - Step 3: Optimisation study of the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 28, 2004 and granted February 19, 2013. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 28, 2024.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 28, 2026.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
