Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention comprises a system and method for using a personal digital assistant (Fig. 1) to browse and select program listings. The method of the present invention involves browsing one or more program listings to select a given program listing. The program listings are presented on the personal digital assistant through the use of a local electronic program guide. Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 4, 2003. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 4, 2023.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 4, 2025.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
