Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a method for monitoring interactions to a target biomolecule comprising the steps of: providing a biomolecule of interest having specificity for the target biomolecule; binding the biomolecule of interest to at least one type of linker molecule comprising a unique mass marker part; introducing the biomolecule of interest to a cell; binding the linker to the target biomolecule; cleaving the linker molecule thereby , leaving the photoactivatable part and the mass marker part bound to the target; analysing the target biomolecule thereby detecting the unique mass , marker part. The detection can be carried out by MS in a parent ion scanning mode, thereby allowing …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 16, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 16, 2022.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 16, 2024.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
