Combined plain old telephone system (POTS) and digital subscriber loop (DSL) line card capable of suppressing low frequency transmission. The line card (400) includes following elements. A DSL receive path (403) receives DSL data from a loop (61). A POTS receive path (402) receives POTS data from the loop. A combined POTS and DSL transmit path (401) transmits POTS and DSL data to the loop. An impedance generator (80) is coupled between the POTS receive path and the combined POTS and DSL transmit path for synthesizing impedance for signals in the combined transmission path. A low frequency detector (70) selectively applies a high pass filter (41) to an output of the impedance …

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 24, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 24, 2022.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 24, 2024.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
