A thrust reverser system that has one or more moveable thrust reverser components for redirecting the thrust of a jet engine. The thrust reverser system has a torque limiter coupled between synchronization mechanisms that mechanically couple actuators used to drive the thrust reverser. The torque limiter reduces the potential for the transmission of excessive torque between the different moveable thrust reverser components and reduces the likelihood , of secondary system damage due to a jam in the system. Thus the cost and/or , weight associated with each of the components comprising the system may be reduced.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 16, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 16, 2022.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 16, 2024.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
