Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention provides a vascular catheter apparatus for temperature measurement of vascular tissue, comprising a flexible body (14 15, 18), at , least one resiliently biased projection (11) depended from the body a sensor , carried by the projection and an electrical carrier (13) for transmitting temperature data at the vascular wall from the sensor (10) to a remote device. The electrical carrier (13) is coiled around the length of the projection (11) to reduce strain at critical points where it is necessary to maintain a seal and hence electrical isolation.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 3, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 3, 2022.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 3, 2024.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
