A material for tissue/organ regeneration which can be easily filled into a necrotic or defective part in a tissue or an organ in vivo while preventing hyperproliferation of fibroblasts to thereby effectively regenerate the target tissue or organ; and a method of tissue/organ regeneration. Using a hydrogelforming polymer an aqueous solution of which shows a heat reversible sol-gel transfer (i.e. occurring as a sol at low temperatures and as a gel at high temperatures), a material for tissue/organ regeneration wherein fibroblasts , would not substantially proliferate in the gel on the basis of the hydrogelforming polymer, is constructed.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 12, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 12, 2022.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 12, 2024.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
