Abstract From the Canadian patent

For fastening an auxiliary wheel to the wheel of a vehicle bolts are fixed to the auxiliary wheel which bolts are aligned substantially parallel to the wheel axle of the auxiliary wheel. Each of the bolts has a head-shaped swelling which can be inserted into slot-shaped recesses provided on the wheel of the vehicle and can be pushed into the slot-shaped recesses. The head-shaped swelling of the bolts is hereby held in the slot-shaped recesses. The auxiliary wheel is locked in this position through locking means. A simple mounting and dismounting of an auxiliary wheel to the wheel of a vehicle is thereby obtained.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 18, 2003 and granted July 5, 2011. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 18, 2023.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 18, 2025.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
