Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method and apparatus are disclosed that provide for automated financial resources allocation and accountability among various groups of budgeted accounts (40,42,44,46,48,50,52,54,56,58,60,62) which are overlaid on at least , one actual account. The method provides for the user to establish the accounts (40,42,44,46,48,50,52,54,56,58,60,62) to be budgeted. The user then establishes a preset spending allocation amount for each account (40,42,44,46,48,50,52,54,56,58,60,62). Each time the user makes a spending allocation for that particular account the account reflects the amount spent and notifies the user of the remaining amount allocated for that account during a given period.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 17, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 17, 2022.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 17, 2024.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
