Abstract From the Canadian patent

A log-periodic dipole antenna (10) includes a boom (12) which through insulator blocks (15) carries a plurality of elements (13) consisting of, element halves (13A, 13B) which extend in opposite directions from the boom (12). Spaced transmission wires (38A, 38B) extend along the boom (12) without crossing each other and yet communicate with alternatingly opposite element halves (13A, 13B) of adjacent elements (13) in view of their connection with brackets (30A, 30B) attached to element halves (13A 13B). The transmission wires (38A, 38B) are spaced a,t the point of communication with each element (13) a distance proportional to the impedance of that particular element (13) by virtue of …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 28, 2003. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 28, 2023.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 28, 2025.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
