92 Disposable containers include peripheral tabs which are useful for positioning and processing the containers and operate as separators. In a preferred embodiment the tabs correspond to tabs on a paperboard blank where the tabs are useful for controlling the orientation of the blanks so that printed and shape features may be kept in registration during manufacturing of a disposable servingware container.

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 25, 2003 and granted June 21, 2011. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 25, 2023.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 25, 2025.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
