Abstract From the Canadian patent

This invention is to provide a method for detecting DNA hybridization on DNA chips using 4-D parameters. Based on the traditional method of using 3-D parameters to detect DNA hybridization on DNA chips this invention introduces, temperature as the forth parameters to determine the melting temperatures by scanning the changes of fluorescence intensity of the fluorescent labels on the, double-stranded oligo nuclei acids resulted from the increasing of hybridization, temperature. Comparing the measured melting temperatures with the standard melting temperature specific for each probe on the chip is used to gain insight into, the specific property of the single-stranded nucleic acids in the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 24, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 24, 2022.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 24, 2024.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
