Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention provides polynucleotides that a protein solubility response promoter operatively liked to a reporter gene and a genetic reporter system comprising these polynucleotides together with an expression construct for a target protein. The invention also provides cells comprising polynucleotides of the invention and the genetic reporter system. These compositions are useful to monitor the solubility of a target protein in a cell and to identify mutations to the cell or mutations to a polynucleotide encoding the target protein that alters the solubility of the target protein. The invention further provides method to identify variations in a protein biosynthetic …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 21, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 21, 2021.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 21, 2023.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
