There is disclosed a method to measure the fraction of DNA molecules that ishemi-methylated at a specific CpG dinucleotide in a particular DNA sequence, in a pool of DNA molecules having mixed DNA methylation states at said CpG dinucleotide. There is also disclosed methods to calculate the rates of de novo-, and maintenance-methylation per cell division that occur at said CpG dinucleotide. Additionally, there is disclosed methylation kits for use in measuring and quantitating hemi-methylation and for calculating the rates of , de novoand maintenance-methylation.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 8, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 8, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 8, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
