The invention concerns a method for continuously coating at least one surface of a metal strip with a single-layer or multilayer crosslinkable polymer fluid film (20) obtained from solid precursors at room temperature and free of non-reactive solvent or diluent and whereof the softening temperature is higher than 50 ·C.
