The invention involves a method for measuring phosphorylation of proteins and as such, is an indicator of protein kinase activity. The method involves the in vitro phosphorylation of a target protein but subjecting that protein (nonphosphorylated) to reaction mixture containing all reagents including , phosphokinase which allow the creation of a phosphorylated form of protein. The phostphorylated protein is measured by contacting it with an antibody specific for the phosphorylation sites(s). The invention includes antibodies useful in practicing the methods of the invention. The invention particularly relates to phosphorylation of Tau, Rb and EGFR proteins and antibodies specific for …

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 27, 2001 and granted March 6, 2012. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 27, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 27, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
