A system and method for supplying electricity for use with a host device (50). The system includes a structure (20) and an interface (30). The structure includes an array of single-walled carbon nanotubes (22) arranged with respect to a matrix (21). In operation, the system receives a force stimulus for facilitating piezoelectric generation of electricity. In particular the array , receives the force and piezoelectrically generates electricity therefrom. The array is electrically coupled with the interface. The interface allows the structure to supply electricity to electrical devices that are coupled to the interface.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 10, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 10, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 10, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
