Said array is placed on the ground directly under the foundation slab of the building. It comprises a plurality of coplanar and laterally adjacent modules. Each of said modules comprises two identical rigid plastic parts (2-2'), which are centrally connected to one another by an absorber (3) and perimetrically by a car tire (5), preferably a used car tire thus forming an , elastically deformable chamber that is filled with a plastic granular material (6) having hydraulic effects in such a way that vertical and horizontal efforts of a seismic wave are absorbed by radial or horizontal deformation of the above-mentioned modules (1).

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 8, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 8, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 8, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
