The dielectric loaded cavity for high frequency filters consists of a metal container housing a dielectric block held in position by supporting plates that also sustains coupling and tuning elements. This invention provides broadband filters, small in size and with low losses. Its high symmetry structure considerably reduces the energising of spurious modes and furthermore facilitates the design using automatic calculation procedures on , the basis of accurate electromagnetic models.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 18, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 18, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 18, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
