A battery pack having a first secondary cell and a second secondary cell, preferably of a non-aqueous chemistry, is described. Each secondary cell has a discharge capacity and an internal resistance to a direct charge current. To diminish and alleviate problems associated with extended cycling of battery packs, the internal resistance to tie direct charge current and the discharge capacity of each secondary cell is substantially matched. Thereby the battery, packs have longer running voltages and increased energy density.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 20, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 20, 2022.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 20, 2024.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
