Identifying clusters of protein binding sites in a nucleotide sequence under analysis. A computerized system determines likelihood parameters for a plurality of known protein binding sites. The likelihood parameter for each protein binding site represents a likelihood that the protein binding site will occur in a nucleotide sequence under analysis relative to a likelihood that the protein binding site will occur in a random nucleotide sequence of a substantially equivalent composition. Selected protein binding sites are grouped as a function of their respective likelihood parameters to determine a likelihood score, which is compared to a predetermined threshold. The selected …

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 11, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 11, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 11, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
