Abstract From the Canadian patent

A new method and apparatus for detecting outliers more specifically false-, negatives and/or false-positives in pharmaceutical mass screening experiments is provided which utilizes chemical descriptor methodology in conjunction with supervised learning techniques. This method employs the latent structureactivity relationship between the chemical compounds and the biological activity for the detection of such outliers. The method is applicable to individual compounds as well as to pools or mixture of compounds.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 11, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 11, 2021.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 11, 2023.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
