An ultrasonic distance measuring system (10) for monitoring railroad car loads. The system includes an ultra sonic transducer (20) a pulse generation , and detection circuit (22) and a measurement circuit (24). The transducer (20) produces a transmitted ultrasonic pulse beam (14 PT) to be directed at a load , (12) in a railroad car (8) and receives a return pulse beam (PR) from the load (12). The pulse generation and detection circuit (22) is coupled to the transducer (20) and causes the transducer (20) to produce the transmitted pulse beam (14, PT). A return pulse beam (PR) is detected by the pulse generation and detection circuit (22). The measurement circuit (24) is coupled to the …

Why it's free to use
- Filed March 9, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 9, 2021.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 9, 2023.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
