Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention is directed to a process for addition of amines to carbon-carbon double bonds in a substrate comprising: reacting an amine with , a compound containing at least one carbon-carbon double bond in the presence a transition metal catalyst catalyst under reaction conditions effective to form a product having a covalent bond between the amine and the carbon-carbon double bond. The transition metal catalyst comprises a Group 8 metal and a ligand containing one or more 2-electron donor atoms. The present invention is also directed to enantioselective reactions of amine compounds with compounds containing carbon-carbon double bonds, and a colorimetric assay to evauluate …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 28, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 28, 2021.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 28, 2023.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
