The invention provides a fabric softening composition comprising; (i) one or more cationic fabric softening compound(s) having two or more alkyl or alkenyl chains each having an average chain length equal to or greater than, C8, and , (ii) at least one oily sugar derivative which is a liquid or soft solid derivative of a cyclic polyol or of a reduced saccharide said derivative , resulting from 35 to 100 % of the hydroxyl groups in said polyol or in said saccharide being esterified or etherified and wherein, the derivative has two , or more ester or ether groups independently attached to a C8-C22 alkyl or alkenyl chain, and (iii) a deposition aid comprising a mixture of one or more …
