Abstract From the Canadian patent

A flow-dampening degassing apparatus for transport of liquid chromatography fluids therethrough includes a substantially burdoin-shaped flexible tube disposed in a reduced-pressure chamber, the tube being sufficiently flexible to expand in a cross-sectional direction upon incursion of a fluid pulsation to thereby increase an inner volume of the tube and correspondingly reduce fluid pressure therein. In a particular embodiment the tube, is fabricated from a gas-permeable and liquid-impermeable material for degassing transported fluids in the reducedpressure chamber.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 10, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 10, 2022.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 10, 2024.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
