Abstract From the Canadian patent

So as to discriminate acoustical signals not only as a function of the angular impinging direction, but also as a function of the distance of an acoustical signal's source, the acoustical signals are registered by at least two mutually distant acoustical/electrical converters (1 2), and from the output , signals thereof the distance is calculated electronically (S3). The distancerepresenting signal is then amplitude filtered (6) and at least one of the , output signals of the acoustical/electrical converters (1 2) is weighted (8) , by the amplitude filtered distance-indicating signal before beam forming is , realized.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 18, 2001. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 18, 2021.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 18, 2023.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
