The invention relates to a method for measuring the concentration of harmful gases in the flue gases through a heat-producing plant that comprises a combustion space (3) and a device (5) located downstream of said combustion space, said device (5) comprising tubes through which for instance water, steam or air may pass in order to be heated by heat transfer from flue gases formed during the combustion. In a region near the tube device (5) at least , one beam (11) of ultraviolet light is emitted from a light emitter (7') at one side of a flue gas duct (4) to a light receiver (7'') located at the opposite side of said duct, which light emitter (7'') is connected to a spectrometer (13) …

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 27, 2000 and granted September 13, 2011. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 27, 2020.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 27, 2022.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
