No Claude kit for weapons

Claude doesn't help design weapons, ammunition or explosives, so this page has no Reinvent kit. To develop this one, work with a federally licensed manufacturer (many of these items are regulated) and a registered patent attorney or agent, listed on the USPTO roster.

Abstract From the Canadian patent

A conversion kit for a delay lever, recoil-operating automatic weapon is provided to convert it to direct blow-, back operation. A bolt/bolt-carrier assembly substitutes for the normal bolt and bolt carrier assembly. This substitute assembly cooperates with other components in the weapon to permit operation of the weapon with low energy ammunition that fires low mass projectiles.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 18, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 18, 2022.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 18, 2024.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
