The invention relates to a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly provided with an insulation transformer, which acts as an insulation barrier between two electrical systems. According to the invention the printed circuit board , (PCB) assembly comprises at least two separate PCB sections (21 22), and the , insulation transformer (10) is used as a support structure to mechanically interconnect the sections. Since the PCB sections are separated the PCB , sections no longer affects the creepage distance for the insulation barrier. Instead the insulating material and the physical design of the transformer (10) determines the minimum required creepage distance. The insulating material of …

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 15, 2000. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 15, 2020.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 15, 2022.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
