An optical fiber having a structure preferable to long-distance transmission of optical signals having different wavelength in the 1530 to 1620 nm wavelength band and an optical transmission line comprising the same are disclosed. The optical transmission line includes one or more first optical fibers and one or more second optical fibers. Each of the first optical fibers has a dispersion of +1.0 to +8.0 ps/nm/km in the 1530 to 1620 nm wavelength band. The difference between the maximum and minimum of the dispersions is 3.0 ps/nm/km or less. Each of the second optical fibers has a dispersion of -1.0 to -8.0 ps/nm/km in the 1530 to 1620 nm wavelength band. The difference between the …

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 17, 2000. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 17, 2020.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 17, 2022.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
