The present fastening apparatus for insect protection screens, solar screen fabrics or the like consists of two profiled elements, namely an upper and a lower part which are arranged in such a way that they can be joined into a frame-like fastening apparatus by a clamping process. During the clamping process the fly screen or the protective fabric is clamped between the two profiled elements, which means that they are thus also fastened and, additionally pulled in slightly to the outer side so that, the screen, fabric or net is tensioned automatically.

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 24, 2002. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 24, 2022.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 24, 2024.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
